Polar Bear Photographs on the Tundra Near Churchill
A couple years ago I went to Churchill, Manitoba, to see the polar bear migration. Every year polar bear gather in the Churchill area waiting for the Hudson Bay to freeze. This is the first area on the bay to freeze, due to a river that empties into the bay here, and the bears are eager to dine on seal again. Unfortunately, the year I went we had an abnormally warm fall. Only three bear had arrived to begin their wait.
